As an 80’s kid (yikes, I feel old!), I remember walking up our staircase to our condo in Lisbon and having a closer look on the walls and stairs which were framed with solid marble. I remember my eyes followed each swirl and vein and I was intrigued with the coloration and how it’s worn patina felt hard but yet extremely smooth. The smoothness had a certain softness to the touch, which I loved. In fact, I loved it so much that I barely used the railing.

Fast-forward a couple of years, and here I find myself extremely thrilled to witness this moment! This antique material is going through a major revival! It has always been associated with a more classic and more “old fashioned” stigma, but currently it’s literally taking over the design industry. From vetements, to interieurs, to phone cases and surfboards! Yes, you read damn right: surfboards! It’s exciting to see how designers are applying this natural material  on unusual and unexpected items. In my opinion, that is what makes this trend win it’s momentum, coupled of course with the beauty of this natural slab and it’s unique and non-repetitive patterns that stimulate our eyes.

Greetings! Quick question that’s totally off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My site looks weird when browsing from my iphone. I’m trying to find a theme or plugin that might be able to resolve this issue. If you have any recommendations, please share. Thank you!

Hey there this is kinda of off topic but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if
you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no
coding experience so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • I was reading through some of your blog posts on this site and I think this site is really instructive! Keep posting.
