For someone, who has an infatuation with tableware, I haven’t posted much about it. I actually enjoy shooting those as it is a fun and creative way to experiment with textures on a smaller scale. It’s an easy way of creating compositions that exude different moods while hoping to inspire others to have fun setting up a fun table.

The dining room is a pretty multi-functional room in our home. This is where we eat, work or craft up some DIY projects. It’s basically where a lot of the action and magic happens. It is also a space where great conversations & discussions are held and, of course, memories are made. I think it’s essential to maximize the way you live and use your domicile. It’s healthy and makes you feel happy and more at home, as it offers to house and manifests all layers of your personality.

HOW THIS COLOR IS BREAKING FREE FROM ALL STEREOTYPES

In the past, I’ve associated the color pink with pure kitsch, all things Barbi and certainly had not imagined using this hue in a color palette for a project, especially not for an adult space.

With both Copper (being a metallic with enough pink-ish nuances) trending and the Pantone color Rose Quartz being nominated as the color of 2016, all these tendencies indicate the overall growing favoritism of Pink. Besides being an accent color it is a great neutral color, the muted spectrum of this color, in particular, seems to become the new Gray.

In my daily hunt for inspirations, I increasingly stumble upon more and more interiors featuring pink as an accent color. The key qualities of this versatile color are starting to transpire and I must admit it’s starting to grow on me as well. As much as I love black, white and gray, I can’t deny, I sometimes daydream of perhaps changing up my bedroom a little and adding some nude moments to my Gray and White color scheme.

I have put together a little gallery of some inspirational vignettes, that definitely speak for themselves.

Have you been collecting some inspirational images featuring this trend and how would you incorporate pink into your space?  Feel free to leave a comment and share some pictures. I would love to see.

I’m definitely starting to think Pink!

SOURCE OF INSPIRATION

As a student, I remember always being “hungry” for new inspirations and new design projects and always scouring design mags on any given occasion. I would commit to expensive design magazine subscriptions in order to stay current. Furthermore, in an attempt to bring organization to it, I tried creating a catalogue on my computer, so I would scan  the images and store them and categorize them in order to be able to find them. I would also browse the internet like no other to find new images and I’d save them in specific categories. After a while, I would transfer them onto external hard drives to make room for new images. I admit, it was not the most ideal system and it definitely ate up a lot of my storage space on both my laptop and external drives and slowed them down extremely. It wasn’t the most practical approach either, since I wouldn’t have the backlink of the source. I also tried the whole bookmarking thing and I soon started disliking it, since it didn’t have the visual support I needed to make it easy to find what I was looking for. And then Pinterest came along and changed my life completely.
